this painting illustrates a writer's dream date with Franka Potente's eponymous character in Run Lola Run. the movie concerns a girlfriend's quest to raise 100,000 francs in twenty minutes in order to save her boyfriend from a drug deal gone wrong. the format of the film was inspired by video games. so, the story starts over from beginning whenever lola fails. needless to say, she does a whole lot of running.

it was the writer's fantasy to rescue her from that adventure. the piece, entitled Rest Lola Rest, offers her chocolate milk, television, and his favorite book, the Little Prince.

p.s., i actually own the pillow in the foreground and the print on the wall. my mom made the pillow for me. the print was drawn and given to me by dan krall, former roommate and current comic book phenomenon.
